Executive Summary
Lens: All ExperienceTechnical SEO and marketing automation lead with 8+ years bridging web development and organic acquisition. At Tallo (a Stride/K12 company) I built the marketing team’s automation layer (about 100 n8n workflows and a tested Python library that generates them), shipped a programmatic SEO engine, and ran SEO for engineering launches, including a 1,800+ page product launch that reached 96% indexation. Hands-on with the n8n, ScreamingFrog, Search Console APIs, Gemini on Vertex AI, OpenSearch, the WordPress REST API, React rendering audits and GA4.
Professional Experience & Verified Systems
Technical SEO Automation Marketer
·Tallo (a Stride/K12 company)Position eliminated when Stride/K12 closed the marketing department. Closure announced October 14th 2026.
- Built Tallo’s marketing automation layer: about 100 n8n workflows (1,200+ nodes, 120+ AI steps) for SEO monitoring, programmatic content, research tools and creative; 12 were still running in production when the department closed.
- Ran SEO for a 1,800+ page product launch: my pre-launch audit caught a site-wide noindex header plus caching and rendering blockers, engineering shipped fixes from my specs within two weeks, and 96% of pages were indexed within eight weeks.
- Designed and shipped a programmatic SEO engine (labor-market data in OpenSearch → Gemini → WordPress) that published 100+ career pages in nine weeks, with a daily per-page Search Console report to decide which templates to scale.
- Diagnosed index bloat across 4.4M sitemap URLs: 86% of job URLs earned zero impressions while job pages drove 69% of clicks. Traced slow job indexing to cookie-gated caching and specified pruning 2M+ URLs; engineering adopted part of the plan.
- Wrote a Python workflow-as-code library that generates and deploys n8n workflows, with 59 automated tests; new generators took one to two days to build on it.
- Cut the marketing Google Cloud bill ~98% (about $7.5K a year) by finding and restricting runaway Maps API usage.
Technical SEOPrimary Track Match
- Defined SEO requirements and pre-launch QA for an engineering-built job-search landing layer; 98% of the first ~1,750 pages were indexed within a week of sitemap submission, and the layer grew to ~35,000 URLs.
- Wrote the launch SEO plan and ran pre-launch and sitemap QA for a 26,000+ URL apprenticeship page layer built by engineering.
- Audited React rendering for search bots (crawlers got a 403 and a ~1 KB shell instead of the full page) and wrote a developer SEO playbook; engineering adopted my title, H1 and canonical for the employer landing page.
- Replaced a misleading "1% indexed" metric with a URL Inspection probe that measured true indexation at 96%.
- Found that 77% of career pages had no internal links pointing in, and proposed a pagination fix.
- Set up the Google Indexing API with a verify mode that polls URL Inspection, and showed that crawl budget, not submission speed, was the indexing bottleneck.
Programmatic SEO and ContentPrimary Track Match
- Wrote and presented a Q3 programmatic SEO strategy to leadership: 16 plays tiered by readiness, backed by search-demand research.
- Built a skills-first AI-exposure model on O*NET and BLS data (Gemini-rated task automatability) and piloted it on 50 careers.
- Built an AI content pipeline (n8n + Gemini + WordPress) whose drafts, edited and approved by me, became 46 published posts (79K words) in three months.
- Built a research-to-blog pipeline: a trend radar scores career topics 0–100 from keyword momentum, Google Trends and labor-market growth, and a Gemini agent with Search grounding drafts data-backed posts into WordPress for review.
- Edited and published "What Jobs Pay $3,000 a Day Without a Degree?", the site’s top tracked post (~50K impressions a month at an average position of ~4).
Automation and AI EngineeringPrimary Track Match
- Automated Search Console monitoring: daily Slack drop alerts, then a 29-node triage that breaks each drop down by page, query, country, device and search appearance and URL-inspects the biggest losers.
- Turned Google’s helpful-content guidance into a 17-check automated audit (LLM-graded plus HTML checks) that grades pages daily for under $1 a day and files monday.com tasks for weak pages.
- Built a one-click Content Retro that sorts every URL into winners, decaying pages, striking-distance and dead weight (~1,500 URLs graded).
- Built self-serve tools the team used without me: an AI Image Generator (60+ sessions), an Open Graph image generator, a Keyword Explorer, and a Job Posting Counter over ~4M active postings.
- Cleaned up UTM tags on 136 posts in one WordPress API run with zero errors.
- Led AI enablement for marketing: agent governance rules grounded in 49 Google sources, Cursor and Claude skills, onboarding docs and plain-language READMEs. Administered the n8n instance (12 users) and the Claude Team org, and presented "agentic workflows" at the company All-Hands.
- Built $0 self-hosted featured-image cards instead of buying a vendor tool, after tracing and fixing a text-rendering bug in the renderer.
Analytics and Paid MediaPrimary Track Match
- Planned and launched a $1,000 partner campaign on Meta that drove 2,300+ clicks at $0.42 CPC.
- Named lead for statewide user acquisition on a South Carolina partnership; owned the SEO, blog and paid sections of quarterly reporting. In September, Meta drove ~190 registrations at ~$21 each, and I recommended a budget reallocation across campaigns.
- Analyzed GA4 paid-channel performance and diagnosed why Meta traffic produced zero key events (Traffic objective, no Conversions API, consent settings blocking tags); verified Pixel firing with a headless browser.
- Found an AWS WAF CAPTCHA on top landing pages that was breaking UTM attribution, and escalated the fix to DevOps.
- Ran a LinkedIn Thought Leader ad for the CEO’s post: 290+ engagements at $1.71 each.
- Helped move paid media from an outside agency to the in-house team, turning the audit into decisions before the handoff.
Leadership and CollaborationPrimary Track Match
- Built the screening and interview kit for a technical SEO / web developer hire, interviewed candidates, and helped close the hire.
- Served as the SEO counterpart to frontend and platform engineering and to paid media; onboarding buddy for a new teammate.
- Took over marketing operations in Sep–Oct 2026: monday.com project management, request intake and the weekly wrap-up.
- Built a gamified career-exploration prototype (CareerWorld) in Lovable for Hackathon 2026; placed 2nd out of 5 teams in the internal competition.

Hybrid Growth Engineer Differentiation Matrix
| TRADITIONAL MARKETER | TRADITIONAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER | HYBRID GROWTH ENGINEER (CHRISTIAN GOMEZ) |
|---|---|---|
| Knows keywords & manual content briefs | Knows code syntax & isolated backend logic | Builds automated engines (OpenSearch + Python + Gemini) that generate & validate thousands of pages |
| Relies on dev queues to diagnose or deploy SEO fixes | Rarely understands crawl budget, bot rendering, or search intent | Audits HTTP/SSR headers directly, writes 6-workstream dev specs, and ships verified workflow-as-code |
| Manual spreadsheet reporting & late drop discovery | Focuses strictly on core product features | Automates 29-node GSC drop triage, 1,500-URL Content Retros, and self-serve AI tools via n8n & Python |
